Spaceship Earth

The signature attraction of the park, opened with EPCOT in 1982 and rebooted several times since. Guests ride slow-moving cars up the interior of the 180-foot geosphere through scenes depicting communication milestones — cave paintings, the invention of writing, Gutenberg's press, the telephone, the Apollo missions, the internet age — each diorama populated with audio-animatronics and detailed sets. A future-themed personalization at the top creates a custom 'your future' sequence on a small screen during the descent.
